Happy New Year!
2013 in review was an amazing year. I married my best friend, took part in one of my best friends weddings, watched many friends tie the knot, completed our living room renovation, traveled to Hawaii on our honeymoon, celebrated my grandfather's 80th birthday in Florida, started pursuing my dream of photography, adopted a puppy and countless other amazing memories with friends and family!
It was a year of realization and coming into my own. I feel very grateful and blessed for all that I have accomplished, encountered and realized in the past year. 2013, you were awesome. 2014, you have some big shoes to fill, but I'm confident that you'll be just as awesome.
Let's back track to our Christmas holiday. We took the pup to the local tree farm to cut down our tree! Mack did awesome and loved meeting so many new people. Everyone was drawn to the little puppy! Note to single guys: bring a puppy to a tree farm, it's a chick magnet! haha. Wayne had girls coming up to him left and right asking to pet the puppy. It was hysterical. We did some baking, and some burning, made chocolate covered pretzels and did tons of eating. Our holidays were wonderful! Wayne spoiled me with a flash, softbox, and so many other goodies to keep my equipment collection growing! So excited to put it all to use. Here's a few snippets of our Christmas.
Some exciting news in the family. My brother popped the question to his longtime girlfriend! Finally just about sums it up! So excited for the two of them and all of the adventures they are about the embark on!
We rang in 2014 with a huge feast at Wayne's parents house! We had shrimp cocktail, clams casino, clam dip, little hotdogs, mussels, king crab legs, filet mignon and stuffed shrimp. We then watched the ball drop back at our house with a comical game of apples to apples with family and friends!
I spent my day today cleaning and organizing! Decorations are down and put away, and we're onto the new year.
I'm resolving to:
1. Be more organized. (already started and have my list for the rest of the week!)
2. Save money.
3. Focus on the business.
4. Complete the house with decorations. (we need some rugs, mirrors, wall art, etc.)
Alright, 2013 - You were amazing. One for the record books. So excited and ready for 2014. Happy new year everyone!
